DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

If you don't come to events att he ahll but feel you would like to help without getting involved we would welcome any small donation to keep the building in good order.

Did you know?

You can read the hall's full history in

A History of Sheepy Chapel and Memorial Hall (A Bicentennial Commemoration) book written by Sheepy Local History Society.

A little history

The hall was built between 1814 -16, when it was opened for use as a chapel.  In 1922 a group of trustees drew up an indenture which stated that

... the building be used "as a Memorial Hall to perpetuate the memory of all the men of Sheepy who served in the Great War 1914 -1918" and ...

"for any parochial or private gathering or entertainments or meetings or for any other object ends or purposes having in view the social or intellectual wants of the Parishioners of Sheepy Magna and Sheepy Parva which the Memorial Trustees or a majority of them may think proper".

The current committee would like to publicly thank all of those past committee members for all that they did to keep the hall going, allowing the village to have the great amenity to make use of today.  ï»¿

There is a committee which manages the hall; coordinating the different activity slots, organising fund-raising events throughout the year and ensuring the fabric of the building is in good order.

If you would like to be involved in some way just get in touch via phone or email, we always welcome extra helping hands.
